A young woman from Teesside, UK was involved in an incident while on holiday in Bucharest, Romania with her friend.
The individual was struck by a van at a pedestrian crossing and sustained brain damage.
They are currently receiving medical care at the Spitalul Universitar de Urgență București hospital.
GoFundMe Established
In response to the incident, a GoFundMe has been established to assist the family with their financial obligations while the individual in question is receiving medical care in the hospital.
The GoFundMe has raised £4,385 and has a goal of £5,000.
Medical Status
Becca has been informed that no additional medical procedures are necessary, however, due to potential medical risks, she is unable to travel home for approximately one month.
She experienced a period of cardiac arrest lasting five minutes and was in a state of unconsciousness, however, a brain scan has been conducted and no further medical interventions are required.
The family is now hoping that Becca will make a full recovery and be able to return home soon.
